Ciclo Museo

the museum of bicycle trades

When craftsmen used to travel by bicycle

Ciclo Museo was created by Sandro Braconi, who restored and, in some cases, recreated the collection using vintage bicycles. The museum is housed in the premises of a former primary school in Via Matteotti 4, known as Casa delle Associazioni. It displays over one hundred vintage bicycles that are fully equipped to illustrate a specific job: from barbers to knife grinders, from priests to chestnut roasters. Each bicycle is a proof of wit, hard work, and popular creativity. A visit to the museum is a journey down memory lane, among tools, photographs, and stories of men and women who converted their two wheeled-vehicles into real mobile workshops. It is recommended for families, history lovers, and cycling tourists.
